For a while now I have been contemplating getting a Stage-1 tune. Whether to go Off the Shelf (OTS) or custom will come down to preference.
Based in Melbourne, and highly recommended from numerous other parties I decided to head down to UGP, for a Stage-1 ECU & TCU tune. These guys are not a 15min plugnplay, off you go bunch. My car was booked in for 2hrs, however took 5hrs to get the job done AND
they delivered, exactly what they promised. Approximately +50wkW of GAINZZZ. The car feels completely different. Shifts later in Race mode, and keeps pulling all the way to redline. Whats even better is that Stage-1 peak boost is lower than most OTS Stage-1 tunes, which means they are not just increasing to get you power. Which is better and safer on a stock block, IMO.
If you are on the fence with OTS tune or Custom (and in Melbourne), head down, you will not be disappointed.
Great work and thanks UGP. I will definitely be seeing you guys in a few weeks For Stage-2, once turbo back exhaust and intercooler is installed.

They are totally hassle free and their pricing is way less than VW service but using all the same genuine parts, oils, filters etc. I was worried my brake pads / discs needed to be changed and instead of just agreeing and changing them they checked them over and told me the rear would last 10k more and front till the next service and to come back in 5,000ks and they would check on and advise again.
