I'll bet you've all written complaints about very workshop in Brisbane. I've been to every independent BMW workshop in south-east QLD and this one is on-par with the best of them. For a while now I have been contemplating getting a Stage-1 tune. Whether to go Off the Shelf (OTS) or custom will come down to preference.
Based in Melbourne, and highly recommended from numerous other parties I decided to head down to UGP, for a Stage-1 ECU & TCU tune. These guys are not a 15min plugnplay, off you go bunch. My car was booked in for 2hrs, however took 5hrs to get the job done AND
they delivered, exactly what they promised. Approximately +50wkW of GAINZZZ. The car feels completely different. Shifts later in Race mode, and keeps pulling all the way to redline. Whats even better is that Stage-1 peak boost is lower than most OTS Stage-1 tunes, which means they are not just increasing to get you power. Which is better and safer on a stock block, IMO.
If you are on the fence with OTS tune or Custom (and in Melbourne), head down, you will not be disappointed.
Great work and thanks UGP. I will definitely be seeing you guys in a few weeks For Stage-2, once turbo back exhaust and intercooler is installed.
